ABOUT ME AND MY INTEREST IN HPC

Since September 2017, I am a visiting postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Basel, Switzerland. As a member of the High Performance Computing (HPC) group, my research focuses on developing new techniques to connect application level and operating system level scheduling in high performance computing.

I was born in Ankara, Turkey. I graduated from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2003. In 2006, I completed my master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Middle East Technical University. Since 2002, I have been working as a software engineer in ASELSAN Inc., Ankara, Turkey.

I received my PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara in 2015. My thesis focused on data abstraction for model checking of real time systems. I was a visiting scholar in Computer Science Department at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign between 2010 and 2011, where I had the chance to do research on complexity reduction in networked real time systems.
