ABOUT ME

I am graduated in Systems for Internet at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (IFRS) Campus Porto Alegre in Brazil. This degree was strongly focused on Java – object oriented programming. After that, I have been working with some other technologies such as PHP / Yii, JS / jQuery and MapReduce / Hadoop.

At the end of 2016 I have finished my masters degree at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) with the Group of Parallel and Distributed Processing (GPPD) and supervised by the professor Lucas M. Schonorr. This work was focused on parallel programming with C / C ++ and performance analysis. The results were very promising and can be found in my repository on bitbucket ( https://bitbucket.org/jhmkorndorfer/jonas-masters-degree-repository ) and in my dissertation ( http://www.lume.ufrgs.br/ handle / 10183/149310 ). 

Currently, since may 2018, I am a PhD researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Basel, Switzerland. I am working as a member of the High Performance Computing (HPC) group. My main topics of interest are, simulations, optimization / performance analysis, parallel programming and specific scheduling techniques for large scale platforms.
