SNSF MLS PROJECT STARTS SEPTEMBER 1, 2017

The SNSF-funded MLS: Multilevel Scheduling in Large Scale High Performance Computers starts on September 1, 2017 and will run for 36 months.

The goal of this project is to answer to following research question: Given massive parallelism, at multiple levels, and of diverse forms and granularities, how can it be exposed, expressed, and exploited such that execution times are reduced, performance targets (such as robustness against perturbations) are achieved, and acceptable efficiency (such as tradeoff between maximizing parallelism and minimizing cost) is maintained?

More details can be found on the project’s website.
